The sequence of books has changed. I am now writing the main sequel ‘A Darker Darcy” as fast as I can. As of now, July 1st 2013, it is more than half done. I expect it to be released by August. If I have my way it will be done by middle of July. The only thing that will hold it up will be the editing.

Books 2 and 3 are in the works. From start to finish, book one took 4 months. I am hoping to have the second one (Counterpointe) out by the end of September. Until then I am providing some free short stories to be published on most ebook platforms. They will be posted here for immediate download and filter to the ebooks as those companies receive them and publish.

Those short stories should ALWAYS be FREE. If a publisher is charging then please look elsewhere for a free version.

Leo, I just finished reading P&P&A about twenty minutes ago. I’ve got to tell you how much I enjoyed the read. Normally I shy away from male-written JAFF, but I bit the proverbial bullet and bought/read this anyway. What a pleasant discovery that your story line is so enthralling! Was there a secet society amongst the upper crust of the Gentry such as you described? That would be interesting to know. I am now a fan…..and will await “Counterpointe” with much anticipation! Thank you for the great read! beverly s.

Thanks for the great post. I apologize for taking so long to get back to this. work has been crazy and I have been writing and editing ‘A Darker Darcy’ I plan to have it published this week. (August 7th or so.) The original intent was to have it by August 1, but it needed a bit more editing. 🙂

BTW. I cannot attest to the fact that there was a secret society but my next book will take into account historical accounts. Anyone wanting homework ( do not worry, nothing major) please ‘google’ William Wickham or Lord William Grenville. Prime Minister in 1806.

Darcy and Elizabeth seem to have a less than passionate relationship–almost indifferent to each other. Is there a reason you wrote them this way? For two who in the original that were “violently in love,” this seems strange. I’m not suggesting anything overt, however, there doesn’t seem to be even much affection between the characters.

I see both of your comments and I did want to address this first post. I have seen the movies and read the novel, many times actually. I personally found the original novel to be similar to what I wrote.(not the movie, that seemed to be more passionate) It was an English romance and I was drawn more to the depth of character. I do agree with your thoughts as I also found it to be less than passionate, but I attributed that to the writing of the time. I wonder if my opinion of the novel is a little off. Perhaps others found it very passionate.

while looking for new jaff stories on Amazon, I came across you 2 free books which I couldn’t resist. I enjoyed them so much I have now bought the first 2 books in the series and am already enjoying the first. I hope by the time I get to the end of ADD that Counterpointe and the Dache short story will be ready! I read a LOT of these reimaginings and it is a delight to find a new author I really enjoy. Keep writing and I’ll keep reading them!
and Thank you for publishing these!
